jn > This is from the first visit. Taken with a Leica and 35mm Summicron, using 400 ASA colour neg film. Exposure was 1/4 sec with the camera steadied on the newel post of the staircase.
jn > Another view with the 12mm lens. Yes, this is the right way up. A reflection of the photographer is visible top centre.
jn > For this one I cranked up the ISO rating to 1600, hand-holding at 1/8 second and 12mm focal length. In the foreground is the newel post that supported the camera in other shots.
jn > On the second visit I took the Nikon D200 with 12-24 f/4 zoom, my old manual focus 50mm f/1.4 and the 50s-vintage Leica pocket tripod with large ball head. This is taken at 12mm from about the same position as the Leica shot.
